Dulux Trade has launched a new guide designed to help professional painters and decorators advise their customers on protective coatings. The new ‘Protection Range’ guide brings together a range of paint solutions, each designed to guard against common challenges in the home, from the spread of germs, to mould and fire protection.
“Increasingly, we’re finding that decorators are being asked to recommend coatings that give an added level of protection,” said Emeka Maduka, Brand Manager for Specialist Coatings at Dulux Trade. “Hygiene for instance, has never been more important in the home, so we’re seeing that more and more decorating professionals are being asked to suggest paints that can help provide a hygienic environment. To support decorators in choosing the best coating for the job, we’ve created this new guide which gives the trade a great overview of the solutions available and in a single, easy to use resource.”
The new Protection Range applier guide features sections on a number of demands. Information on the Dulux Trade Pyroshield portfolio of flame retardant paints for example, can be found within the guide’s ‘fire’ section whereas details of the manufacturer’s Cladshield exterior coatings and Floorshield collection feature within the ‘corrosion’ and ‘abrasion’ areas respectively.
Alongside an introduction to the coatings within the range, the guide also features practical technical information on aspects such as drying times and methods of application.
Concluding, Emeka, added: “Within the range there’s a specialist paint solution for every requirement, so it’s great that decorators can find all the details they need to give customers informed advice.
To coincide with the launch of the Protection Range brochure, Dulux Trade has also increased the availability of the collection, with the products now stocked in most trade merchant stores.
